Little Baby Girl Frye: Baby Talk

7 weeks old

Kennedy is 7 weeks old and over the last week she has really been expanding her baby talk....and responding more and more to us every day. We smile at her and laugh, and she mimics us and smiles back. She has sessions during the days where we just lay with her and talk and she responds to us like crazy. One thing she likes lately is us singing the ABC song to her...Aaron discovered this.

If she is ever at a stage during the day where she is fussy or crying and I am unsure of what she wants...I have a couple "go-to" things I try and one or the other usually always works. One is taking her outside. She instantly calms down and gets so alert and amazed by the sounds and trees. Another thing I try is putting her on her changing table (even if I'm not changing her), because something about it she just loves. It is one of her favorite places to mimic and talk to us....one of her happy places.

She has been a champ at sleeping through the night for 2 weeks now. I was looking back at her eating and sleeping schedule book I write in daily, and she started sleeping through the night at 5 weeks! We are so grateful for what a good baby she is. A couple nights ago she slept 9 hours straight! We are so lucky :)

Some notes about Kennedy at 7 weeks....

-Loves being outside either in her stroller or just walking around the yard looking at nature and listening
-Still loves her evening baths
-Great sleeper! She knows when its nighttime and does not fuss in her crib when we put her to bed. She stares at her Rainforest crib soother and glow Seahorse that plays music and drifts off to dreamland
-Started smiling at us in the morning when we wake her up....we unswaddle her, she opens her eyes and gives the biggest grin. This makes my morning every single time...it will never get old
