The first 2 weeks at home

Kennedy will be 2 weeks old tomorrow :)

The first week was kind of rough with late night feedings but we are getting the hang of it...well maybe not getting the hang of being sleep deprived, but we are learning about our baby girl and all her cues...hungry, need diaper changed, wants held....the main needs of a baby.  She is a good baby though and we are so blessed.  She is happy and healthy and that is all we could ask for!

We have gone for stroller rides, given her 2 baths, made a couple visits down to our lake with her to enjoy the fresh air, took her to run errands, made a trip to my mom's (Nana's) and had her first pediatrician visit.

We also had several visitors...my mom, Aaron's family, my aunt Lisa, my friend Lisa, a co-worker of Aaron's from the hospital and our neighbors.

Our friends and family have been so generous with cards, gifts, food....we have had a lot of support.  And I can't imagine not having the support system we have.  It is quite a life change to have a baby and without a support system it would make it much harder.  We don't take any of it for granted that is for sure.

No doubt we have had some bumps in the road these last couple weeks...things don't always go as planned.  But the most important thing is that we get through them as a family...we have and we always will :)
