Below is one of our first pictures as a family with our baby girl just shortly after delivery.

| The first moment Kennedy was put on my chest and she looked up at me with those beautiful eyes :) |
I went into labor early Monday morning around 2:00AM but did not realize I was having contractions until around 8:30AM . I had a feeling something was happening so I called off of work (it was going to be my last day before my maternity leave anyhow---they were going to induce me Wednesday). Since contractions were becoming more obvious I called the doctor and went in for a check.
Not much progress had been made but Aaron and I continued to track my contractions throughout the day and around 7:30PM they were getting to be 3-5 minutes apart so we made the decision to go to the hospital. Well actually Aaron made the decision, I think I was in denial that it was actually happening. I kept telling Aaron we are going to get to the hospital and they are going to send us home. But as we were walking into the hospital I had 3 contractions alone. Still I thought, this isn't the real thing...they are just going to send me home. Not so much....
Once we got checked in they told me I was not going anywhere, and I was in labor. We checked into the hospital around 8:30PM Monday. Even the night shift nurse thought we would have the baby before she was off at 7:00 AM Tuesday. However, things did not turn out that easy. I was not able to start pushing until around 12:00 Noon Tuesday. I pushed for over 2 hours and finally she came out with a little help from the doctors around 2 hours later. She was face up and kept getting stuck. The doctors said if she was face down I would have had her out in 15 minutes after pushing.
Aaron was so amazing and never left my side. He held it together and helped to keep me going even when I thought I couldn't do it. I have always known I was lucky to have him, but this whole experience made me realize even more what true love is and how I have without a doubt found it in him.
It was the most emotional day of my life and of Aaron's.
We checked out of the hospital on Thursday afternoon and when we got home it was the most amazing feeling to bring our little girl into the house we are going to raise her in. We can't stop looking at her, taking pictures to document every moment and thinking how extremely blessed we are.
Our adventure as parents has officially begun....I love our family.
